How to get the look: 

 1) Team day&night time dresses with flats instead of heels. Try dolly shoes for night and sandals during the day.

2) Wear dark nail varnish that contrasts with your skin. Try a blood red or black.

3) Nip any dresses in at the waist to define your shilouette. Try a studded black one to give your outfit a bit of an edge or one in a bright colour (although kristen doesn't do colour)

4) When it comes to picking a kristen dress, stick to these simple rules:

1.  Nudes or blacks (or both..)
2. Opt for ones with minute detail such as beading or sparkle.
3. Go for structured/tailored/timeless pieces that show off a slim shilouette. Either strapless or strappy, no sleeves.

The Kardashian Kollection

No, i did not spell that wrong , it really is called the Kardashian kollection. Ever wondered how you can get a piece of the Kardashian sisters unique style? well now you can, that is, if you have allot of spare dosh. I have recently found a boutique in America - i didn't go , i live in England- that sells some of this collection. They have gotten together- by them i mean the 3 sisters - and created a designer collection of approximately 69 items/accessories. From what i can gather it's either all bags or mostly bags.

The purple bag shown below or above or to the side wherever it bothers to appear , is an example of the collection.  It's quite nice, not necessarily my cup of tea but i would wear/carry it. It features a gold , metal , magnetic fastening thingy and a magenta coloured architectural/ geometrical pattern sown on the side. All in all it's nice enough however i personally wouldn't pay the $49.95 being asked for it, but that's jsut me. The bags range from $39.99 to around $139.99 (ish). This is a great style if you want to accentuate your cheekbones, recomeneded only if you do not have a f.o.d like me. (forehead of doom) .

To get this look- add hair extensions here if you want extra length- tip your head dupside down and hold above head , pull it tightly so that it is pulled very slickly away from the face. Make sure it is positioned around the crown of your head. To do the hair over bobble bit, either take a section from the pony tail, wrap it roudn the bobble and secure it underneath with a bobby. or do the same thing but leave a piece of hair out and put the rest into the bobble.

How to wear night jewelry during the day

 Most people have that necklace or bracelet that they wear only at nights, be it pandora or diamonds or other. But there is a way you can bring the bling (like what i did there?) out of hiding and wear it during the day. The key is to mix and match untill you find a conmbination fo jewelry that you would wear every day and your glam stuff. For example wear your pearls with some costume jewelry, a set of different coloured beads or just put it on for a bit of a boost. Wear that high-end cuff with 2 bangles in similar but different colours/shades. Its all about matching it to what your wearing, how your feeling anf where your going. As you can see , left, shes worn a very intricate , sparkling necklace with a reasonabley plain beaded necklace wrapped around a few times. Its little tricks like this eg. wrapping the necklace round twice and putting another one over the top or putting a long necklace and a short necklace together. Keep playing around untill you find a match, but don't be scared to wear jewelry during the day. You only live once.

40's fashion suspected come back

It has come to my attention that we could be expecting a comeback of 40's glamour this autumn/winter.

What is 40's fashion?
Some must have key items and accessories are:

Who's done 40's and how ( from what i have seen from the catwalk shows):
Miu Miu: fur wraps over tailored dresses.
Donna Karan: Created a sexy feminine silhouette by wrapping and twisting fabric. Used pearls and elbow length gloves. Pulled the outfits together with a classic skinny belt.
Frida Giannini at Gucci: Fedoras and pussy bow blouses.
Jonathon Saunders: lots of colour and classis pieces.

Canvas shoes/converse

I love canvas shoes whether they are flat pumps or ankle covering converse. I think they go with everythhing within reason :D This post is just about why you should wear them, what with and where to get them xx

Why?

I think you should get some canavs shoes/ drag those converse out the back of the wardrobe because they are allways in. Its such a simple look to pull off and its really casual and comfy but they look good. You can get them in all different styles/shapes/colours/sizes and on converse.com you can even design your own! inr. You can wear them everywhere and with everything, plus they are super cheap depending on whether you like brands etc... so theres no excuse , no matter what your style, there are some canvas shoes out there to suit you.

What with?
Ok so i personally like to wear convers/pumps with skinny jeans. But everyone has different styles.
Girlie
If your more girly take a flowery summer dress or dress with a mix of bright colours and either pair it with coloured tights and converse in a neutral colour(or knee high socks) or you could wear plain tights and wear converse in a colour that matches your dress eg yellow converse for a summer yellow dress <3.Wear chunky jewellery and an asortment of bangles and bracelets.
Bold

If you have a bold style get some converse in super bright colours/colour and wear with an outfit amde up of lots of different bright colours. This integrates a hot trend-colour blocking-and it still keeps the unique statement look you were aiming for :) Add some brightly coloured wrist wear-neon watches, bangles- too one arm to make it lok thrown on but cool.

Casual
For a casual style wear a tank top/band t-shirt, skinny jeans and some black/purple/pink converse. Add a few wrist bands liek you get from concerts or charities and mabye a bead necklace- a long strand one, or layer them up to make it look really cool.

Concert

For a concert type outfit wear a band t-shirt and either a highwaisted skirt/shorts&tights or skinnies. On top of that you could put a chunky knit jumper/cardigan or a tailored jacket such as a blazer or cynched in leather jacket. Have some converse on obiously ;) because they are comfy and cool either in a colour that matches your outfit or a bright colour so that you and you friends stand out and can find each other. For jewellery add a few bracelets and a necklace but nothing too major coz youll be jumping around .

Comfy

If your lounging around or just nipping into town have on an over sized cardigan , old t-shirt, shorts&tights/leggings and converse on. Loop an old scarf aorund your neck and wear a basic charm bracelet. Maybe a head band too .

Katy Perry GHD advertisement campaign

Hey all these pics are courtesy of http://www.sugarscape.com/ so all rights reserved. Ok so i discovered that Katy Perry has done this GHD campaign and i wanted to know what you think. I personally think her hair is awesme but they have over done the photoshop. I dont know i just think it looks really fake, and shes super pretty anyway so i dont know why they neeeded to edit them so much. But hey its up to them i guess.

Right, this is the first out of the 3. I personally think she looks very fake. Dont get me wrong i like katy perry its the editers and what not. Her makeup is very 80's inspired. Keeping in trend with this seasons aray of rainbow makeup.The outfit is your average super tight lycra ensamble. I think its a cool picture and i want to ump into those doughnut thing behind her but i can't... sooo next pic.

This one is my least favourite. I quite like the dress which is a 40's inspired, chiffon, beige/pink number. Its very elegant and ruffley and cute. I dont know why i dont like it i just i dont know. Mabye the way its been taken? the hair is for 1930's house wife kinda style.

This one is probably my favourite. I dont understand the whole plastic wrapped chaise lounge but then thats life i guess. But its random like me which can only be a good thing.  I love her hair on this one and she looks more natural. The whoile braid across the head thing is in fashion, i personally can't pul them off but she totally can . I like the soft lighting, and the blend of nudes and browns for the outfit.

OH! i totally understand the hair now. i just got it. there are like different styles, curly, super curly and wavy because its GHD'S isn't it. so its like shwoing you what you can do. oooooh i get it. sorry just wanted to add this bit onto the end.
