Springs hottest colours

1-Pink

A really cute, girly colour. You could wear different tones of it for a very couture finish or jsut add a splash of pink to your everyday wear, a pink romper, pink lipstick or maybe a pink scarf/necklace.

2-Orange

Orange is a bold colour, but worn right it can give a really statement, vintage feel to an outfit. To play it safe wear some hot orange nail polish or for a summer nights outfit , wear an orange dress with some gold jewellry and statement necklace.

3-Yellow

Yellow just seems such a springy colour, it makes em think of the sun, lamps and daisy's in a field, but maybe thats jsut me... But it is a really cheerful, lighthearted colour, a safer option to orange. I personally love my bright yellow belt that i ahev and i try to pair it with everyhting. You could go for a caramel shade in for example chino's or a golder shade for accesories, a yellow print sumemr dress or some yellow sandals. A really good way to introduce yellow is to add a yellow clutch, colour blocking and springs hottest colour.

4-Tropical blue

Blue is a bold but versatile colour , layerd in tones or in the odd accesory. Even just wearing it can make you feel like your on a beach or in the carabbean ( alright for some i allways go to wales or something..). A bright blue hold all allways looks good on holiday, perhaps a blue bangle or necklace with a blue jewel. Blue can also make dresses look really elegant and some blue high heels add a retro 80's colour popping feel.

5-Lavender
Lavender is a really good way to wear fashionable colours without it being in your face. Not personally your face, just generally in people's faces. Um so yh changing subject... Its a really nice soft muted shade of grey'y purple. I love a lilac colour, but purple is my fave so.. Its just so dreamy and soft. I think some sweepy purple eyeshadow or a lilac scarf can instantly add something to an outfit. Also a purple/lilac dress can look very proffesional and reserved in a really good way. Lilac heels add a soft feemmine touch to.
hope it helped <3 xxxPixe xxx

Spary on clothing!!!

I thought this was jsut like a sort of joke? but someone has actually invented spray on clothing omg! If you watch the video you will see its sort of like a spidery effect, i doubt you could do it yourself effectivley and im sure a cure for cancer would be preffered. but still? its a novelty right? as long as it doesn't rain....
http://www.ecouterre.com/instant-spray-on-clothing-in-a-can-redefines-fast-fashion-video/

A quote from the website says :
"Clothing that shoots out of an aerosol can may sound like science fiction, but one Spanish designer-with-a-PhD has managed to pull off the world’s first spray-on garments that can be removed, washed, worn again, or dissolved to make new ones. Manel Torres, a former student of the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, took 15 minutes to spray a skintight T-shirt on a male model at a demonstration on Thursday, in advance of his Science in Style spray-on fashion show this week."

Some gorgous pictures from felice's inspiration gallery

Just a few of the really gothic, dramatic, gorogous pictures from http://inspiration.felicefawn.com/. I absolutley love felice fawn, i think she is amazing and an inspiration, shes a model/retoucher/photographer/website dsesginer and these are jsut a few pics from her official inspiration section of her website. so check ehr out definatley and i do not own the pictures :) I jsut find them really powerful and inspiring and i'd love to not re-create but create similar masterpieces.

Spring/Summer 2011 hot colour trends

Today, I am on fire with blog posts, your going to have friction burn on your fingers from scrolling through my posts so fast.
A bit about colours:
Some colours have meanings, other's can change atmoshperes, some can brighten our days, calm them, or provoke ideas and inspire us. Some scream fashion and some scream barf. But together, with the right eye they can create something beautiful like a rainbow, and that is why colours and shapes are so popular this year.

Orange:
Orange is an exciting new introduction too our wardrobes this spring/summer. Its bold, daring and in your face, not to be worn by the faint hearted or body conscious. There are different ways to wear orange as can be seen. For example Prada used strong tones of orange to create the illusion of fire and burning fabric. Whereas Alberta opted for softer hues and combined those with neutrals like black and pastels like beige to make it a more versatile and easier to wear colour.

It can be seen in loads of different runway shows for example:

White:
White is always in fashion every summer/spring because it is really versatile, its soft, cool and just appropriate for summer. Because of this i would recommend investing in some sort of white garment. This year its not just white dresses but shorts, pants and tailored skirts.

Dark purple and bright pink:
These are more winter colours (particularly the purples) but we cannot ignore them as they are being introduced into many a designers collection. They add drama and texture to an otherwise plain outfit. Plus its my fave colour.

Light grey/stone:
Although considered boring, with the right blending and accessories grey can look very sheek and glamorous. For example pairing a soft , light grey with caramels, greens or pinks can look really good. Use it wildly with a variation of shades and tints.
Lemon:
Some people say lemon or yellow is too bold or old fashioned (like a mustard colour) but i disagree.  really vibrant bit of yellow can be the injeciton of colour a wardrobe needs, be it a bright necklace, pair of shoes, skirt or other garment. This colour can be worn it its most saturated form and in its most pastel state. It can be great for a sunny day but also in evening wear for example a metallic like gold. It is elegant and vintage at the same time.
Black:
Its elegant, its slimming, it's versatile and it's always on trend, what more do you want from a colour.
Blue and navy:
Ranging from turquoise to dark navy , it is so adaptable. It looks great in a suit but could also transform a glittering evening gown. It is elegant without being in your face but it can also make a statement in for example a blazer or pair of sky scraper heels. It's a really good tone because it can be pared with so many different colours and shades, whether the desired effect is contrasting or blended and soft pastells. Some designers eg Vivienne westwood used subdued tints of blue whereas Prada used an electric blue.
Light green:
Its soft, its summery and it looks great on something with a print or texture. It can be used to give a military feel to an outfit but again can look soft.

Floral prints:
Brought back every summer and never get old. Be it a floral sash/accessory/print on a dress /skirt or pair of leggings, it is a very easy trend to be introduced into your wardrobe whatever your style. It can be found anywhere from high street to catwalk. You don't have to be a fashion junkie too know that this is a hot trend. Just wearing it puts you in the right mood on a hot summers day but it can equally brighten a gloomy one. Some deisgners used obvious sumemr pallets and floral prints, others used distorted , blurred indistinctive floral patterns and some used it to make accesories liek belts and headdresses.

Stripes:
Stripes are also popular but not as popular as floral prints. They are an easy way to add definition or to update an outfit. They can be multicoloured stripes or more artitectual.

Polkadot: Polka dots can be really effective, be it small dots on a vintage style blouse or large spots on a 50's style evening dress. I think they look cute , especially a short prom style dress with black and white polka dots and then like a red pair of shoes or belt.

Summary:
As you can see , although the colour and pattern pallete for this summer isn't very diverse or different (smae thing i guess :/ doh! ) There is alot of experimenting to be done with it and alot of fun to be had, so enjoy and thanks for reading! <3

2011 spring/summer nail colours!

Trend number one , Red's and nudes.
Just like the makeup this summer/spring, natural is in. Match this hot make-up trend with some equally hot mannicures and you will be equally on trend.

Trend number 2, Grey.
Its bye to black and hello to grey. Not just grey, silver , metallic, navy and other dark variations of black are super hot. Its not just in nails, it's allso a super hot trend for make-up as is amtching this colour to your clothes. As you can see below these designers have done jsut that and the overall effect is bold. They have used a grey nail varnish with blue undertones to give a polished, dramatic finish.

Trend number 3, pinks, reds and matching nail varnish to lipgloss.
Choosing a complimentary shade when matching the two are very important. The overall effect can be very sleek, co-ordinated and effective. Remember they can act as your accesories too. It has to be femminine and glossy, like in the below photo.
Trend number 4, Bright electric colours contrasting with lip colour.
This si allso a trend in clothing called colour blocking. It ahs been all over the runway in both forms and involves picking really vibrant clashing colours and pairing them together.

Chokers to be in this autumn/winter?

Valentino, 2011-12  ,all rights reserved.
disclaimer: i do not own the photos all rights resevred to the owners and vogue.
That's right, you read the title, well you probably didn't because i don't think anyone actually reads this blog but you get my drift. It is thought that the warm embrace of a choker could be re-united with our necks once more. Bit cheesy...moving on. It has been spotted on many a catwalk and i think this popular but forgotten accessory could be making a comeback. From Gothic to Egyptian to elegant chandelier. There are so many styles and it's such an easy way to add edge or a touch of class to an outfit, where ever and whenever you need it.

How:
  • Add a pearl/ fangly diamond choker to a floor length gown to instantly add elegance and glamour.
  • Wrap multiple starnds of pearls/beads/crystal type things around your neck to intergrate both the choker and the 40's trend.
  • Add a choker to dress up a simple neckline on a blouse, wrap dress or suit.
  • If you are going for a big neck encasing choker wear small earings that match or none at all so its not too overcrowding.
Designers, who? (to give you an idea):
